The former Sports Authority space at the Regency Court Shopping Center is slated to house a Surge Adventure Park.
The sign is on the building.
On Facebook, Surge Adventure Park – Jacksonville, FL describes the park as an “indoor air-conditioned adventure park facility with wall to wall trampolines, flying trapeze, foam pit, dodgeball, battle beam, rock climbing wall, foam pit, and basketball dunking lanes. A fun place to jump and burn energy for all ages.”
Surge Trampoline Park, with a location in Monroe, Louisiana, describes its facilities as “a cutting edge trampoline park, entertainment and amusement center, fitness and sports facility.”
A plan filed with the city shows Surge Trampoline at 9292 Arlington Expressway. Thomas H. Hughes/Architecture of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, is the architect.
The 46,596-square-foot space is between You Fit and the Family Fun Zone.
On Aug. 10, the company posted on Facebook that it was about two weeks out from opening. It also has been posting job openings.
Regency Court Shopping Center is a 218,646-square-foot retail project at 9200-9398 Arlington Expressway.
Mishorim Gold Jacksonville LLP bought the center for $5 million in November from a bank trustee and asset manager that had taken title to the property.
Property records show the 11 buildings at Regency Court were built from 1973 to 1985. Gold said in January his group intended to invest $12.6 million in the property.
CBRE Inc. Associate Lara Bahri is the leasing agent.
The company has been adding tenants throughout, including the Aficionado Grooming Lounge for men, shown in a storefront window as “coming soon.”
