Wayfair Inc. posted Tuesday it has part-time and full-time positions available for all shifts at its new Jacksonville distribution center.

For support staff, it lists general warehouse labor, warehouse associates, inventory control, and shipping and receiving.

For full-time leadership positions, it lists site director, operations managers, warehouse supervisors and warehouse team leads.

The online retailer of home furnishings already has been seeking leadership and operations roles at the center.

The jobs are posted at wayfaircareers.com. Salaries aren't listed but Wayfair told the city its average salary would be $33,000.

“You've heard our news! Wayfair is opening a new location in Jacksonville, FL.” says the Tuesday job posting, which comes a day after the city announced the long-expected news that the Boston-based company will set up a 250-job distribution center in Cecil Commerce Center.

The city said the 1 million-square-foot building would be completed by year-end 2020 and the jobs created by the end of 2021. In previous job postings for leadership jobs, it referred to the Jacksonville center as a Large Parcel Home Delivery Operation.

Wayfair posted that it is “looking for talented staff at all levels who are self-motivated, with demonstrated capabilities to streamline and optimize day-to-day operations for our warehousing team.”

It says it offers competitive pay;  medical, dental and vision coverage starting Day One; an employee discount; paid time off; and “opportunities to learn and grow your career.”

“The ideal candidate is an energetic team player who understands how to effectively drive results in a fast-paced and rapidly growing company,” it says.

“We look for those who (have) an interest in innovating to solve business problems creatively, a willingness to immediately tackle key challenges, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and can adapt to change quickly.”

The posting says candidates who apply now will be contacted closer to the opening date. It did not include all of the open positions and advises job seekers to check back for more openings.
