Retail notes: Publix to renovate Arlington store; Dollar General planned for Wilson Boulevard

Publix Super Markets Inc. will renovate its Arlington store at 7117 Merrill Road at a cost of $700,000, according to a pending building permit.\

Elkins Construction LLC is the contractor for the project, which is a renovation of the 54,645-square-foot store.

Lakeland-based Publix has been remodeling or rebuilding many of its area supermarkets.

Retail notes

• Harbour Retail Partners of North Carolina paid $6.73 million and executed a mortgage of $18.6 million with Ameris Bank for the 11.2-acre Tamaya Market it plans to develop at Beach and Tamaya boulevards.

The roughly 75,000-square-foot center will be anchored by Sprouts Farmers Market. 

The city issued a permit for construction of a 7,500-square-foot Dollar General store on 1.03 acres at 7194 Wilson Blvd. at a construction cost of $296,985.

Family Dollar Stores Inc. is renovating and building. The city is reviewing a permit application for a store at 4594 Sunbeam Road. Family Dollar wants to complete the interior finishes of a new shell building at a cost of $100,000.

No contractor is listed for the 8,320-square-foot project. The city also issued a permit for landlord work toward a Family Dollar store in Highland Square at 1022 Dunn Ave. at a cost of $125,000. Hallmark Construction Enterprises LLC of Lake Worth is the contractor.
