Skinner Bros. Realty will build the first retail space at Wildlight, the planned community under development in Nassau County.

Raydient Places + Properties announced Skinner Bros. will build a retail center at the northeast corner of the entrance to Wildlight at Wildlight Boulevard and Florida A1A.

Two acres of the 3-acre development will include a 9,100-square-foot multitenant building, a courtyard and another 4,000-square-foot building.

“There is so much momentum in Nassau County right now, and we see the new town of Wildlight as a major factor in that growth,” said Chet Skinner, vice president of Skinner Bros. Realty.

Skinner Bros. submitted a preliminary site plan in November to Nassau County’s Development Review Committee for the multitenant building.  It will include an outside courtyard and covered dining area.

Connelly & Wicker is the engineer and Ervin Lovett Miller is the design firm.

Skinner Bros. plans to submit civil drawings to Nassau County this month.

Construction is expected to begin this summer.

Terms of the land sale have not been disclosed.
