The city is reviewing plans for a $22.7 million construction project for the 362-unit Oasis at Town Center apartments south of Topgolf along Brightman Boulevard.

No contractor is listed for the project, comprising eight apartment buildings, five garages, clubhouse, pool cabana and other structures at 10667 Brightman Blvd.

Stephen Novacki, vice president of acquisitions and real estate for developer Picerne Real Estate Group of Altamonte Springs, said in November that he expected construction would start in April or May and be completed by the end of 2019.

Picerne Construction Corp. will be the contractor and Picerne Management Corp. will handle leasing and management.

Holiday Inn Express & Suites takes another step

The city is reviewing plans for the proposed 99-room Holiday Inn Express & Suites next to the planned iFly indoor skydiving center south of Topgolf near St. Johns Town Center.

The city previously issued a Conditional Capacity Availability Statement for the proposed 69,700-square-foot hotel.

England-Thims & Miller Inc. is the engineering consultant.

A Fox Jacksonville representative said previously the hotel will be built with the Holiday Inn Express Formula Blue concept and anticipates an opening by summer 2019.
