An unidentified information technology company seeks incentives to create more than 100 jobs in Jacksonville and initially lease space Downtown.

The company is code-named “Project Wolfe” in a resolution to be considered Wednesday by the Downtown Investment Authority.

Wolfe is described as an established software solutions operation based in Jacksonville that employs about 650 people at worldwide locations that provide IT services to several companies on the fortune 500 list.

Wolfe initially would lease about 8,000 to 10,000 square feet of office space Downtown.

It requests a parking incentive from the DIA that includes leasing 40 spaces at the Yates Garage at a rate of $40 per space for five years.

The garage is at 200 E. Adams St., behind the Duval County Tax Collector’s Office.

Project Wolfe would enter into a lease agreement Downtown by Oct. 1 and provide documentation to the DIA CEO by year-end that it has at least 40 employees. If there are fewer, the number of parking spaces would be reduced.

According to DIA resolution 2018-05-04, the company plans to create up to 107 new jobs at an average wage of $53,298 no later than year-end 2021.

Wolfe proposes to invest $1.4 million in building renovations and office equipment over the first few years of operation.

According to a DIA memo, the company lists the incentives as a “material factor in its decision to locate its new manufacturing operation” in Jacksonville as opposed to another city.

The DIA resolution did not explain the type or location of manufacturing that was stated in a memo from CEO Aundra Wallace to the board.

The city’s Office of Economic Development, which also is working with Wolfe, did not immediately respond to a public records request for documentation concerning the project.

The DIA meets at 2 p.m. Wednesday in an eighth-floor conference room at the Ed Ball Building located at 214 N. Hogan St.
