An entity related to Ash Properties bought 15.4 acres along Gate Parkway to develop office, retail and storage space.
The Palms at Gate Parkway LLC paid $8.96 million to members of the Skinner family for the land, which is at northwest Gate Parkway and Burnt Mill Road.
City Council enacted an ordinance Aug. 14 to rezone the property from residential medium density-A and commercial office to planned unit development.
The rezoning allows for the mixed uses.
The Palms at Gate Parkway LLC is led by Nouveau Management Group LLC, which comprises managers Mike and Elaine Ashourian. Nouveau Management Group's registered agent is Ash Properties.
The rezoning application shows plans for three two-story buildings with up to 175,000 square feet of retail on the first floor and up to 75,000 square feet of office space on the second. A fourth building is planned for personal property storage.
A written description says the site also will provide for public buildings and facilities at the northernmost point of the site. That project has been identified for a city fire station.
City spokeswoman Tia Ford said Thursday the city has not purchased the property for the fire station.
“We have a purchase and sale agreement in place for the property and we are currently conducting due diligence,” she said in a statement.
