Jacksonville-based Haskell announced Tuesday it completed the sale of its energy business to Colorado-based Merrick & Company, an operator in the energy sector for more than 30 years.
“This divestiture reflects our commitment to a vision we have for growing and strengthening Haskell’s core markets,” said Jim O'Leary, Haskell president and CEO in a news release.
“Our short tenure in the energy market came through a larger acquisition and it simply doesn’t index with those markets where we have long established customers who demand our focus,” he said.
All current Haskell Energy design and services contracts are moving to Merrick through the sale, the release said.
Haskell is a global architecture, engineering, construction and consulting firm.
Terms of the sale were not disclosed.
