JaxPort CEO Eric Green and Chief Commercial Officer Kristen DeMarco unveiled a new logo Tuesday and announced an updated website at the JaxPort Logistics and Intermodal Conference in Ponte Vedra Beach.

The new brand “X Marks the Spot” with #jaxportX2019, is the first branding change for JaxPort since the seaport and Jacksonville Aviation Authority split into two entities in 2001, according to spokesman Robert Peek.

Peek said the rebranding was completed in-house.

“We have not updated (our branding) since (2001), even though our business has changed dramatically,” Peek said in an email.

“Since 2001, JaxPort started handling cruise ships; built an intermodal rail yard; and expanded our container business into Asia, for example. We needed an updated brand to reflect our current business profile as a growing global port.”

The JaxPort website is jaxport.com.
