Aldi announced Wednesday that it will open its Yulee store Aug. 29.
The discount grocer said the Nassau County location at 463689 Florida 200 is part of a $3.4 billion investment to expand to 2,500 stores nationwide by yearend 2022.
It will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8:25 a.m. on opening day and offer prizes, including gift cards to the first 100 customers. There will be events and giveaways through Sept. 1.
Shoppers can enter a sweepstakes Aug. 30 for a chance to win a year’s supply of Aldi produce. The store will offer samples of Aldi-branded food Sept. 1.
The store will operate 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday.
At least 11 Aldi stores are open or in planning in Northeast Florida.
