The city approved a permit Thursday for the interior remodel for Burlock and Barrel American Whiskey at 417 Magnolia St. in Brooklyn.

Equity Builders of Florida LLC is the contractor for the $139,932 project.

Burlock and Barrel is building-out a distillery in the building.

The building is owned by BAM Commercial Holdings.

BAM Investments includes Forking Amazing Restaurants and other commercial projects.

The Burlock & Barrel Distillery Facebook page says friends Ian Haensly and Colin Edwards “founded Burlock & Barrel in 2013 with a belief that great whiskey can be made outside the Scottish Highlands or the mountains of Kentucky and Tennessee.”

In Januar 2018, the city issued permits for Danis Construction LLC to renovate the 6,942-square-foot space at a cost of $800,000 and build a dumpster enclosure for $4,000.
