23 local lawyers 'board certified' in 2019

The designation recognizes special knowledge and skills.

The Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization and Education certified 262 lawyers in 2019 who may use the term “board certified” when referring to their legal credentials, such as in advertising.

Board certification recognizes an attorney’s special knowledge, skills and proficiency in various areas of the law and professionalism and ethics in practice. Certification must be renewed every five years.

Twenty-three lawyers who practice in the 4th Judicial Circuit and in St. Johns County earned board certification in this year's cycle:
