Responding to public records requests, JEA confirmed Dec. 30 that former CFO Ryan Wannemacher was terminated without cause and also released former Vice President and Chief Government Affairs Officer Sherry Hall's resignation letter.
In an email sent Dec. 27, JEA interim CEO and Managing Director Melissa Dykes stated:
In an associated document signed by Wannemacher, he agreed to waive any rights and benefits, including the obligation of JEA to execute a three-month separation and transition agreement, and any payments owed by JEA under the Employee Protection and Retention Program Agreement adopted by JEA's board in July and later rescinded.
Wannemacher also agreed to appear voluntarily for up to seven hours of questioning under oath by city attorneys and investigators regarding his period of employment with JEA.
In Hall's letter, dated Dec. 23 and sent to JEA Chief Administrative Officer Herschel Vinyard, she asked Vinyard to accept her formal resignation, effective Jan. 3.
“I have accepted a position with the Tax Collector's Office,” Hall wrote.
She also wrote that she is grateful for the opportunity at JEA and is looking forward “to continuing my nearly 20 years of service to our city at the Tax Collector's Office.”
