Environmental awards

The Timucuan Parks Foundation honored three people with at its 27th annual Jacksonville Environmental Awards:

Craig Morris, a supervisory park ranger with the National Park Service, the Willie Browne Stewardship Award.

City Council member Lori Boyer, the 2019 Kathyrn Abbey Hanna Award of Merit.

Joanne Mattingly, Volunteer of the Year.

Crowley awarded

Crowley Petroleum Services received the Elite Vessel Award from Marathon Petroleum Co. LP for performance and environmental protection.

Foundation launched

Daily’s established the Daily’s Foundation, a nonprofit supporting local charities in Northeast Florida, including St. Vincent’s Mobile Health Outreach Ministry, K9s for Warriors, Nemours Children’s Health System, The Tom Coughlin Jay Fund and the Jacksonville School for Autism.

JCPenney hiring

JCPenney plans to hire 115 seasonal workers in the Jacksonville area for the back-to-school shopping season.

Positions include customer service, cashier and others.

The retailer says it offers seasonal associates discounts up to 25% and flexible scheduling.

JCPenney also is seeking experienced stylists for its salon program. Applicants can apply instore using a kiosk or online at https://jobs.jcp.com.
