Veteran Jacksonville business leaders Scott McCaleb and Jerry Mallot joined Heritage Capital Group in leadership positions, the company announced.
Jacksonville-based Heritage Capital Group is an investment banking and advisory firm formed in 1977.
McCaleb joined as a principal. His primary focus will be advising clients on merger and acquisition transactions as well as financial and strategic advisory services, including real estate.
He previously was president of Vulcan Lands Inc. and before that, was vice president of business development for its south region after it bought Florida Rock Industries Inc.
He serves on the board of the Jacksonville Transportation Authority.
Mallot joined as director of corporate development in February, after retiring Sept. 1 as executive vice president of JAX Chamber ad as president of JAXUSA Partnership, its economic development division.
Mallot’s focus will be on developing clients for Heritage Capital’s services for consulting, capital raises, acquisitions, exit planning and execution, and company sales.
Mallot directed the JAXUSA Partnership and staff of 14 for 25 years and spent 40 years in economic development.
