The city issued a permit for Stellar Group Inc. to build the $11 million expansion in Northwest Jacksonville for Sysco International Food Group Inc.
The project, at 3100 Hilton St., comprises expansion of the cooler, freezer and dry warehouse as well as the addition of a cold dock and expansion of the office area.
The project is 114,643 square feet. A mobility fee calculation certificate shows that Sysco International Food Group plans to expand the existing 195,724-square-foot warehouse on 16.33 acres.
The St. Johns Water Management District is reviewing a permit application for an expansion of parking to 340 spaces and truck parking for United Parcel Service Inc. on 18 acres at 9431 Florida Mining Blvd. E. in South Jacksonville.
Consolidated Design of Tallahassee is the project engineer. The UPS center was known as Project Danville in City Council legislation adopted Jan. 22.
UPS proposes to hire 87 employees at an average annual salary of $57,540 by year-end 2022.
That doesn’t mean UPS won’t hire more employees at lower wages.
The project is described as a $50 million investment.
The 244,000-square-foot building formerly housed Ranbaxy Pharmaceuticals and is owned by Dubow/Shad Road Limited Partnership.
Warehouse Rentals LLC paid $1.6 million for property in West Jacksonville for a warehouse development at southeast Imeson and Pritchard roads.
It bought the land from Jacksonville-based Imeson Holdings LLC, which is led by John J. “Jack” Allen.
Warehouse Rentals wants to develop two 189,063-square-foot warehouses at a construction cost of $11.5 million on the 50.1-acre site.
