Plans proceed for two area extended-stay hotels proposed for WoodSpring Suites.

Miami-based Gold Coast Premier Properties X LLC submitted civil site plans to the city this week for a 123-room, four-story, almost 50,000-square-foot hotel at 7137 Bonneval Road near the Bentley dealership planned off Interstate 95.

The other is identified for Campfield Commons in the Baymeadows area at Anna Eliza Lane and RG Skinner Parkway. WP Concord Holdings II LLC of Raleigh, North Carolina, proposes a 122-room, four-story, almost 52,000-square-foot hotel on 1.85 acres.

Demolition in Mandarin

The city issued a permit for Realco Recycling Co. Inc. to demolish a former medical building and restaurant in Mandarin.

Realco will take down the 7,800-square-foot building on 1.5 acres at 9826 San Jose Blvd. at a cost of $20,000.

The building, at San Jose Boulevard and Pall Mall Drive, was the former Physicians Medical Center and before that, was Hops Grill & Brewing and Cross Creek Steakhouse.

The property owner is 9826 San Jose LLC. RaceTrac was interested in the site but said it no longer is pursuing the location.

Publix in Oak Hill Village

The city approved renovations for Publix Super Markets Inc. at 7628 103rd St. in Oak Hill Village in West Jacksonville.

Elkins Construction LLC is the contractor for the $532,294 project to renovate the 40,933-square-foot store.
