Florida Baptist Convention property being demolished

Building making way for apartments, parking and retail space.

Realco Recycling continues to demolish the former Florida Baptist Convention property at 1230 Hendricks Ave., a 3.41-acre site slated for redevelopment into 345 apartments, parking and retail space.

The five-story building was developed in 1958 and two smaller structures were built in 1960 and 1997.

Chadbourne II LLC bought the property.
