Victoria’s Secret closed Tuesday at the Regency Square Mall at 9501 Arlington Expressway.
It was a longtime tenant and one of the few remaining national tenants at the struggling Arlington shopping center.
The lingerie store was open Monday. On Tuesday morning, the windows were covered and the doors were secured by a gate.
Over the weekend, workers boxed and marked inventory to send to the Victoria's Secret stores in The Avenues mall and at St. Johns Town Center.
It did not post at the store that it was shutting down nor did it have a closing sale. A sign at the storefront Tuesday stated the location was permanently closed.
L Brands Inc., which operates the lingerie chain, said in February that it planned to close 53 stores but did not release a list of those that will be shut.
It said those closed will be based on “current and projected performance, sales, profit, cash flow.”
It has not responded to emails for comment.
