Douglas Davis was elected president of the National Student Nurses’ Association. Davis will chair the NSNA Executive Committee and serve as a member of the NSNA Finance Committee and the Council of State Presidents Planning Committee. Davis is an ex-officio member of the FNSNA Foundation board of trustees. Davis is a senior in the Brooks College of Health’s School of Nursing at the University of North Florida.
Joey Broussard was promoted to office manager of the Jacksonville office of ECS Florida LLC. Broussard served as operations manager and geotechnical department manager.
The Coastal Blood Foundation appointed two members to the board of directors.
Dr. Agnes Aysola is a professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Florida College of Medicine at UF Health Jacksonville. Aysola joined UF Health in 2008 and is a researcher in transfusion medicine.
Dr. Abba Zubair is medical director of transfusion medicine and stem therapy at Mayo Clinic Florida. Zubair’s division includes a clinical apheresis unit, a cGMP stem cell therapy lab and a blood bank supporting a liver transplant program.
Kristie Naines joined the Brain Tumor Network as executive director, succeeding founding Executive Director Kay Verble. Naines was senior vice president of major gifts with United Way of Northeast Florida.
