A Miami-based group appears to be considering development of a WoodSpring Suites hotel near the Bentley dealership planned along Bonneval Road.
Gold Coast Premier Properties is indicated in city documents as the developer of a proposed 122-room, four-story hotel on 2.19 acres along Bonneval Road.
The city issued a mobility fee calculation certificate and a conditional capacity availability statement for the 49,250-square-foot project, which is off Butler Boulevard near Interstate 95.
It calculated a fee of $223,726 to mitigate the traffic impact.
The property is owned by Miami-based MNAR - Real Estate Holdings LLC, whose manager is Mario Murgado, the Bentley dealer. England-Thims & Miller Inc. is the civil engineer.
Murgado, president and CEO of Miami-based Brickell Motors and Miami Automotive Retail Inc., bought a 7.5-acre site in February, where he intends to develop the dealership.
He also bought a 1.5-acre site next to it.
England-Thims & Miller Inc. is the civil engineer.
WoodSpring Suites is an extended-stay brand of Choice Hotels International Inc. Three operate in Jacksonville.
A WoodSpring representative could not be reached for information.
Hotelmanagement.net reported in March that Gold Coast Premier Properties has two WoodSpring Suites in Naples and Miami with plans for more projects in Florida, California, North Carolina and South Carolina.
Miami-based Gold Coast Premier Properties could not immediately be reached for comment.
A site plan shows the Jacksonville project would be owned by Gold Coast Premier Properties X, which was registered with the state in May 2018.
