Retail notes: Burlington to remodel in Mandarin; ABC Fine Wine & Spirits to Town Center

City is looking at civil plans for Baer’s Furniture.

TDS Construction Inc. will remodel the Burlington Stores Inc. location in Old St. Augustine Plaza at a cost of $1.23 million.

As previously reported, the off-price retailer intends to downsize and remodel its Mandarin store at 11250 Old St. Augustine Road.

Landlord Regency Centers Corp. will take back the remaining space for another tenant use.

Burlington operates two more stores in Jacksonville in Westland Park Plaza in Southwest Jacksonville and in Regency Plaza at 9824 Atlantic Blvd.

Burlington also will lease about half of the closed Gander Mountain store in River City Marketplace in North Jacksonville.

ABC Fine Wine & Spirits at Town Center

The city approved a permit for R.D. Michaels Inc. to build a 13,462-square-foot ABC Fine Wine & Spirits store on 1.47 acres at 4838 Gate Parkway in The Crossing at Town Center. The construction cost is $1.225 million.

Baer’s to Gate Point Meadows

 The city is looking at civil plans for Baer’s Furniture at 7760 Gate Parkway.

The Pompano Beach-based company plans to build an 87,483-square-foot store on 4.01 acres at Gate Parkway and Point Meadows Drive. A Wawa gas station and convenience store and a self-storage facility also are planned at Gate Point Meadows. It’s across Gate Parkway from Ikea. England-Thims & Miller Inc. is the civil engineer.
