The city is reviewing construction permit applications for WaterWalk, two proposed four-story corporate hotel buildings on almost 6.3 acres at 8833 Perimeter Park Blvd.
Construction costs total $13 million for the 153-unit all-suites project, applications show.
The St. Johns River Water Management District issued a permit Aug. 30 to landowner and applicant WaterWalk RE Development Services LLC of Wichita, Kansas, and Beaver Dam Development LLC of Raleigh, North Carolina.
Kimley-Horn and Associates Inc. is the civil engineer.
Building 1 is a 75-unit, 62,271-square-foot structure at a cost of $6.55 million and Building 2 is a 78-unit, 62,122-square-foot hotel at almost $6.39 million.
A $65,000 ancillary building also is planned.
The city enacted Ordinance 2019-165-E on May 5 for Beaver Dam Development LLC to rezone 10.67 acres from industrial business park to planned unit development for the WaterWalk.
WaterWalk develops extended-stay hotels and corporate lodging.
