In the final game of the Jacksonville Bar Association Basketball League’s seventh season, Davis found themselves down by double digits, but battled back to upset the Defenders, 63-50, in a game where Davis was a huge underdog as the No. 3 seed.

Davis shook up the league and the game by switching from man-to-man to a 2-3 defense against a sharpshooting opponent when they found themselves down by as much as 12 points in the first half.

Todd Davis pulled off his best Kawhi Leonard impersonation and led his team to victory in a game that mirrored the 2018 NBA Finals of Raptors vs. Warriors.

The Defenders, sponsored by Dogwood Park, got off to a hot start led by Teddy Foster and Logan Chipperfield, but the team as a whole just couldn’t buy a bucket while Davis couldn’t miss in the second half.

In the third-place game, The A-Team got their first win of the season against former league champion Pajcic, 29-15.

Led by Josh Goldsborough and Tony Jordan, The A-Team pulled off their own upset by defeating a shorthanded Pajcic.

This basketball season was sponsored by StretchJax located at 416 Third St. S., Suite 202, in Jacksonville Beach.

The next season begins in January, so if you’re looking to get into the action and get some good cardio, sign up now for the fun and competitive league.
