The city approved a permit Thursday for Dana B. Kenyon Co. to renovate space at the VyStar Tower Downtown for a VyStar Credit Union branch.
VyStar will open the 3,950-square-foot branch early next year on the ground floor of the 23-story tower at 76 S. Laura St.
Jacksonville-based VyStar will move its Downtown branch from the first floor of the Ed Ball Building at 214 N. Hogan St.
VyStar bought the tower in July 2018 and is relocating its headquarters from Blanding Boulevard.
The credit union bought the former Life of the South Building next door at 100 W. Bay St. in February. It is being renovated for VyStar functions.
In November, VyStar President and CEO Brian Wolfburg pledged to move up to 1,000 employees Downtown.
