Industrial Notes: Sysco, BMW seek permits for pallet rack storage

Sysco International Food Group Inc. applied to the city to install pallet rack storage in its 3100 Hilton St. facility at a cost of $1.3 million.

Forman Industries Inc. is the contractor. Sysco International Food Group Inc. is expanding the roughly 200,000-square-foot distribution center.

The city issued a permit in May for Stellar Group Inc. to expand the cooler, freezer, dry warehouse and cold dock space by almost 115,000 square feet at a cost of $11 million.

BMW in West Jacksonville

The city issued a permit for Schaefer Systems International to install pallet racking and a three-level mezzanine in a warehouse at 5560 Imeson Road at a job cost of $4.6 million.

BMW of North America LLC will lease the $30 million, 445,000-square-foot Westside Industrial Park regional parts distribution center on almost 28 acres.

The property owner is IM500 LLC, affiliated with Westside Industrial Park developer Pattillo Industrial Real Estate.
