Retail notes: Planet Fitness coming to Regency; Dollar General to Murray Hill

New multitenant building proposed in Kendall Town Center.

The city issued a permit for Skyline Construction Inc. to renovate space at a cost of $1 million for Planet Fitness at the Southside Commons shopping center at 651 Commerce Center Drive, north of Regency Square Mall.

Skyline will renovate almost 29,000 square feet of space in the former Level 8 furnishings store next to Hope’s Closet and The Church of Eleven22, further filling the center.

Kendall Town Center

An 8,000-square-foot multitenant building is proposed on 1.18 acres at 9737 Hutchinson Park Drive in Kendall Town Center in the Regency area of Arlington. Xu Qiong is the owner and Baker Design Build is the civil engineer.

The city is reviewing site plans. The area has been adding medical and other services.

Dollar General in Murray Hill

The 113-year-old Murray Hill neighborhood near Downtown continues to attract redevelopment. The city is reviewing site plans for a 7,500-square-foot Dollar General Store on 0.9 acres at northwest Post Street and McDuff Avenue.

Concept Development Inc. of Gainesville is the developer. CHW is the civil engineer.
