Turner Ace Hardware is leasing a former gym space at Cobblestone Crossing in the Fort Caroline area, according to a property brochure and a pending permit.
The Shopping Center Group is the leasing representative for the owner of the retail plaza at 2771 Monument Road.
A TSCG property brochure shows the Ace Hardware in almost 13,000 square feet of space close to anchor tenant Publix Super Markets Inc. Pizza Hut is between them.
The brochure also shows a Wingstop restaurant in the closed Taco Del Mar space next to Subway.
It also shows the center is fully leased.
The city is reviewing a permit application for the $400,000 remodeling for Turner Ace Hardware.
Plans specify an almost 10,000-square-foot main sales area with indoor and outdoor garden sales.
Auld & White Constructors LLC is shown as the contractor. Codes-ABC Inc. is reviewing the plans for code compliance. Brian Boatright Architect of Orange Park is the architect.
The tenant is listed as Turner Hardware Beaches Inc., led by President Michael D. Turner.
Turner also is a manager of Turner Ace Monument LLC, filed with the state June 1.
Triarch Capital Group of Aventura owns the center through Cobblestone Sub LLC.
Its website says the 102,462-square-foot Cobblestone Crossing, built in 1987, has no vacant space and the TSCG brochure says it is fully leased.
Stephanie McCullough and Kelly Pulignano with TSCG are the leasing agents.
"We have had significant demand at this center from a variety of retailers, which speaks to the success of the current tenant mix and the strength of the surrounding consumer base," Pulignano said by email Aug. 10.
"Both Ace Hardware and Wingstop have proven themselves to be successful throughout the COVID pandemic due to their offerings and business models, so we are thrilled to add them to the community," she said.
Planet Fitness relocated to 29,000 square feet in Southside Commons at 651 Commerce Center Drive.
