The city is reviewing plans for the western extension of Abess Boulevard northwest of the Atlantic North shopping center at Atlantic and Kernan Boulevards.

The road extension will provide access to the third phase of apartments along the north side of Abess Boulevard west of the Lux at Sorrel and Sorrel apartments phases.

Site plans show four buildings totaling 300 units, comprising one-, two- and three-bedroom units.

Sleiman Enterprises, through Atlantic North LLC, is the master developer of the Atlantic North Plaza and Villages of Kernan West property for multifamily and commercial uses.

Kimley-Horn Associates Inc. is the civil engineer for the roadway extension and Baker Design Build is the civil engineer for the apartments.
