St. Johns County is reviewing an application for construction of an Aldi supermarket in Durbin Creek Crossing at southwest Race Track Road and St. Johns Parkway.

The 19,209-square-foot store is planned on 2.26 acres.

It is the 12th site open or proposed in Northeast Florida for the Germany-based discount grocery chain.

The Ferber Co. is developing Durbin Creek Crossing.

Publix to RiverTown

Publix Super Markets Inc. paid $3.4 million for property in the Shoppes at Rivertown, buying the land from Helow Properties Ltd.

Mattamy Homes announced in 2019 that a 54,000-square-foot Publix will anchor the commercial development it will launch at RiverTown along the St. Johns River in St. Johns County.

Publix in Riverside

Elkins Construction LLC is the contractor for the proposed renovation at Publix Super Markets Inc. at 2025 Riverside Ave. for a 1,300-square-foot wine and spirits section.

It’s shown as a $130,000 build-out.
