The city is reviewing a building permit for construction of Edley’s Bar-B-Que at 5344 Roosevelt Blvd.
Plans show site improvements and the building at a cost of $1 million.
The 3,825-square-foot restaurant will have outdoor space of about 1,000 square feet. North Coast Construction is the contractor and Jason Canning Architect Inc. is the architect.
Nashville-based Edley’s plans to build a 152-seat fast-casual restaurant on a vacant parcel of about a half-acre at Ortega and Roosevelt boulevards and Genoa Avenue.
A First Coast Energy gas station on the site was removed. The owner and developer is Voto LLC, led by Virginia and Todd Ogletree. Almond Engineering is the civil engineer.
JEA issued a service availability report for a proposed 467-square-foot expansion to Texas Roadhouse at 4578 Tropea Way in Town Center Promenade.
Texas Roadhouse Inc. applied to the city for a permit to add space at a cost of $293,000.
It proposes to add 38 seats, boosting the total to 319 seats.
The size will increase from 7,163 square feet to 7,630 square feet.
