Jacksonville-based Pet Paradise announced Jan. 16 it purchased five properties as part of its 2020 growth plan.
The locations, which are expected to open in 2020 and by early 2021, are:
• Pet Paradise Amelia Island on Florida 200 in Yulee.
• Pet Paradise Fleming Island on Plantation Boulevard.
• Pet Paradise St. Johns County (World Golf Village) on Center Place Way in St. Augustine.
• Pet Paradise Lake Nona in Orlando.
• Pet Paradise San Antonio – Stone Oak in Bexar County, Texas.
The Jacksonville-based pet care company offers boarding, day camp, grooming and veterinary services. It has more than 45 locations in operation or under development in nine states.
Pet Paradise President and CEO Fernando Acosta-Rua said the company expects to buy eight to 10 more sites this year.
“We continue to expand in high-growth markets throughout the country,” he said.
Pet Paradise operates five locations in Northeast Florida: along University Boulevard in Jacksonville; near Jacksonville International Airport; and in Oakleaf, Bartram and St. Augustine.
