Tommy Bahama launched its first Marlin Bar in 2016 in Coconut Point “as a laid-back space where locals and travelers could gather casually over food and drink.”
A second opened two years later in Palm Springs, California, and now there are 17 with more planned.
“The Marlin Bar is the perfect spot to shop, enjoy frozen cocktails, light fare with friends & family where friendly service and casual vibe are always the catch of the day,” the company says.
Tommy Bahama announced in August that construction would be completed by early 2020.
The Tommy Bahama retail store will relocate from 4813 River City Drive, Suite 107, to 4812 River City Drive in the former Brooks Brothers space.

In August, Tommy Bahama said the “restaurant-retail concept is in keeping with the brand’s easy, relaxed spirit and elevated shopping experience."
Tommy Bahama has more than 160 retail locations, of which 17 include a full-service Tommy Bahama Restaurant Bar & Store or Tommy Bahama Marlin Bar.

It will feature an open concept design and large patio.
In March, Thomas Chubb III, chairman of Tommy Bahama owner Oxford Industries Inc., said the Marlin Bar planned to open in Jacksonville with another location in Fort Lauderdale.
