After 12 years at Enterprise Center at 225 Water St., the Jacksonville office of the Gunster, Yoakley & Stewart law firm is moving to Wells Fargo Center.
Dav-Lin Interior Contractors Inc. will build-out 38,562 square feet of space on the 22nd and 23rd floors at 1 Independent Drive at a job cost of nearly $2.7 million, according to permits issued July 4 and July 6 by the city.
“We are committed to Jacksonville, obviously,” said Bill Adams, managing partner in Jacksonville.
Adams said the firm opened in Jacksonville in 2008 with two attorneys in about one-quarter of a floor at Enterprise Center.
The firm has since grown to occupy an entire floor with 25 attorneys and support staff.
“We’ve had good growth and intend to keep that going. From a financial perspective, we’re set up as well as anybody can be. Investing in this new office space will help us recruit people who want to make a lateral move,” Adams said.
The new space is designed for up to 35 attorneys and staff. The firm plans to move by the end of the year, Adams said.
