Visit Jacksonville is moving its Downtown offices – but just one block south.

The convention and visitors bureau for Jacksonville and the Beaches moved out of its space at 208 N. Laura St. in the Greenleaf Building and will move into the former CenterBank Building at 100 N. Laura St., at the corner of Laura and Forsyth streets.

There will be a visitor welcome center on the ground floor and offices on a floor above in the building, said Patty Winters, Visit Jacksonville spokeswoman.

The convention marketing and administrative staffs left the Greenleaf Building when they began working remotely in mid-March because of the pandemic shutdown.

“We're still in the process of designing the new visitor center for COVID-19,” Winters said.

She said Visit Jacksonville plans to announce in August when the offices and visitor center will open.
