Disney dropped Jacksonville from its online list of Disney store locations.
That move validated signs at its closed St. Johns Town Center store.
“This Disney store location will not reopen,” says the signage at 4818 River City Drive.
“Use our Store Locator Page on the site to find our nearest Disney store,” it says, referring to shopDisney.com.
The Jacksonville store was listed as of early afternoon July 13 but it has been removed. Disney remains on the St. Johns Town Center directory online.
The Disney website lists Florida stores in Brandon, Coral Springs, Destin, Doral, Lutz, Miami, Orlando, Pembroke Pines and Tampa.
The company closed its stores in North America on March 17 because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Visitors to the St. Johns Town Center store found it did not reopen, disappointing some children dressed up for the shopping experience.
The Disney stores sell toys, clothes, games, DVDs, entertainment, art, Disney collectibles, and Disney-themed home and decor products.
Disney opened its Jacksonville store Oct. 11, 2014.
Disney has not responded to emails for comment.
