Jacksonville-based sales and marketing firm Acosta Inc. this week appointed a former Coca-Cola executive as its new CEO.
Brian Wynne became chief executive July 27, the company said. He succeeds Darian Pickett, who was promoted to CEO a year ago after the previous chief executive resigned.
Pickett will remain with the company as chief executive of Acosta’s North American Sales Agency.
Wynn spent more than 20 years with Coca-Cola, most recently as president of the North American Still Beverages Unit.
Acosta has been operating under new ownership since completing a prepackaged Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization Jan. 2.
As part of the plan, Acosta issued equity in exchange for about $3 billion in debt.
A group of fund management companies took over control of Acosta after receiving the stock in the reorganization.
