Some of President Donald Trump’s most generous supporters won’t be staying in Jacksonville for the Republican National Convention.
According to a Bloomberg report, Trump Victory, a fundraising committee for Trump’s campaign and the RNC, sent out invitations to donors detailing the perks that come with each level of contributions to the campaign.
The top level, the “Presidential Trust” for those who donate $1,161,200 annually per couple, and six levels below, include hotel rooms reserved on Amelia Island. To have a room reserved there, attendees must contribute at least $70,000 annually.
Those attendees must still pay for their rooms at the hotel. Each convention guest must pay a $5,000 fee to attend.
Daytime events are scheduled in Amelia Island where “premier donor hotels” are located, the invitation says. Transportation to and from the convention will be provided.
The lowest level, which requires contributions of $1,000 to $5,000 a year, allows access to the convention celebration events and a reserved hotel room, but not necessarily on Amelia Island.
The invitation doesn’t specify what Amelia Island hotel the top donors would receive. The Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island and Omni Amelia Island Resort are both booked for the days of the convention, Aug. 24-27.
The “Presidential Trust” package includes access to the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena for the convention, priority arena seating, VIP access to all Trump Victory events, a behind-the-scenes tour of the arena and ancillary venues, concierge service throughout the week and recognition on convention celebration signage.
