The city calculated mobility fees for four Gate Petroleum Co. projects, including at the new eTown commercial and residential community in southeast Jacksonville along Florida 9B. Prosser Inc. is the civil engineer for the projects.
Jacksonville-based Gate proposes a gas station and convenience store in eTown, the new residential and commercial development along E-Town Parkway in southeast Jacksonville. The city calculated a mobility fee of $261,399 for a 6,500-square-foot project on 2.16 acres. It would have 20 fueling positions.
The site is at northeast E-Town Parkway and Florida 9B.
Among other Gate projects:
• The city calculated a mobility fee of $262,313 for a 6,536-square-foot gas station and convenience store on 2.92 acres along San Pablo Road and San Pablo Parkway, south of Beach Boulevard and north of the Mayo Clinic campus. It would have 20 fueling positions. The site is along the east side of San Pablo Parkway at Crosswater Boulevard.
• The city calculated no mobility fee for Gate’s proposed reconstruction of its 4120 Belfort Road store on 1.78 acres. The 6,310-square-foot Gate with 16 fueling positions would replace a smaller station. The car wash would not be rebuilt.
• The city issued a mobility fee calculation certificate for a 5,100-square-foot Gate Express Carwash on 3.89 acres at 13916 Woodland Drive at southwest Main Street and Max Leggett Parkway. The city calculated a fee of $25,388. A 1,378-square-foot office building would be demolished. The St. Johns River Water Management District is reviewing an application. Another map shows it as 15765 Max Leggett Parkway.
On April 27, City Council voted to waive mobility fees for projects awarded building permits in the next six months in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
