Winn-Dixie and Harveys Supermarket are offering extended shopping hours 8-9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday for health care providers and first responders.
Jacksonville-based Southeastern Grocers Inc. is the parent company of the stores.
“Our first responders and health care providers are working extra-long hours to take care of the community and we want to do our part to take care of them,” said Anthony Hucker, president and CEO of Southeastern Grocers, in a news release.
The stores offer special hours for seniors and high-risk customers from 8–9 a.m. Monday through Friday.
Southeastern Grocers said it is strengthening safety measures to protect from COVID-19 by installing protective partitions at store registers, customer service desks, pharmacies and liquor store counters.
The store are initiating a two-cart-length distance between customers at checkout by using floor markers to maintain social distancing.
Southeastern Grocers also operates the Bi-Lo and Fresco y Más grocery store chains.
