After canceling Art walk in April and May because of COVID-19 social distancing requirements, Downtown Vision Inc. will present a virtual “Art Scroll” experience instead of the traditional event each Wednesday in June.

Since 2003, Art Walk has drawn thousands of people to the urban core on the evening of the first Wednesday of each month. Visitors view art of all genres and live entertainment and patronize Downtown’s retail small businesses, restaurants and bars.

Each Wednesday in June, there will be two Virtual Art Scroll livestreams, midday and early evening, at facebook.com/jacksonvilleartwalk.

It will feature live performances, artist interviews, art contests and art giveaways.

There also will be a coloring contest for children. A #DTJax logo coloring sheet may be downloaded from iloveartwalk.com.

When completed, participants can take a picture and submit it for a chance to win one of three family memberships to MOCA Jacksonville, the Museum of Science & History or The Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens. Winners will be announced at 6 p.m. June 3 at the first Art Scroll. The staff favorite will be featured as the #DTJax social media profile picture in June.
