Tommy Bahama announced May 26 it will open the St. Johns Town Center store May 31, but not the new Marlin Bar yet.
The store said it began to strategically reopen its retail and restaurant locations across the country and will reopen 12 locations in Florida on May 31.
“All openings will be in accordance with the state’s capacity limit and other health and safety regulations,” it said. Retail stores will have limited store capacity for shopping.
Tommy Bahama said the retail store in St. Johns Town Center will open noon-6 p.m daily. The Marlin Bar will open “at a later date.”
Tommy Bahama already had opened 13 locations in Florida in May, including the outlet store in St. Augustine.
It said additional stores across the country will begin to reopen and services will be expanded when allowed in each state.
The 7,760-square-foot restaurant and store is at 4812 River City Drive, No. 137, at the corner of the corridor leading to Nordstrom. Tommy Bahama created the restaurant and bar to operate alongside a retail store, “where guests can eat, drink and shop.”
It moved from a smaller store across the street so that it could accommodate the Marlin Bar concept.
Tommy Bahama Marlin Bars feature a retail store selling Tommy Bahama men’s and women’s sportswear, swimwear, accessories and home décor alongside the “casual-hybrid restaurant and full-service bar.”
Seattle-based Tommy Bahama operates more than 160 retail locations, 17 of which include the food and beverage component.
Peloton will lease the previous Tommy Bahama location at 4813 River City Drive, No. 107.
