 The city is reviewing a permit application for construction of Fire Station No. 63 at 7300 Gate Parkway at a cost of $2.4 million.

ACON Construction Co. Inc. is the contractor for the 9,390-square-foot station on 3.77 acres.

VRL Architects is the architect.

In August, the city approved site clearing at a cost of $100,000 and the foundation construction for $60,000.

The city issued a concurrency reservation certificate for a 60,000-square-foot, 102-room TownePlace Suites by Marriott and a 52,000-square-foot, 105-room Tru by Hilton on 4.03 acres at northeast Airport and Ranch roads.

Taylor & White Inc. is the civil engineer.
