The Law Offices of Eddie Farah was established in 1980 after firm founder Eddie Farah graduated from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University.

In 1990, his brother, Chuck, graduated from Cumberland and the firm’s name changed to Farah & Farah.

The third and fourth Farahs now are practicing in the firm: Eddie Farah’s son, Khalil, and daughter, Dalya.

“I never pushed them to do it, but it’s a family affair at this point,” said Eddie Farah.

“They don’t get any special treatment. They’re handling cases just like everybody else.”

Khalil Farah, 30, joined the firm in 2015. A graduate of Florida State University College of Law, he focuses his practice on representing people who’ve been injured in automobile accidents and premises liability.

“The payoff comes when you can tell the client you got the settlement. No other job gives you that,” he said.

A graduate of Vanderbilt University Law School, Dalya Farah, 26, joined the family firm in 2019. She represents clients who have medical malpractice claims.

“Families want answers. We go into the records and consult experts so the family can understand why things happened the way they did,” she said.

Farah credits the home environment while his children were growing up for their interest in pursuing careers in the law.

“I’d come home every day happy. They’d ask questions about the office and wanted to know what happened with cases,” he said.

“We got to see what being a lawyer is like and we saw dad helping people,” said Khalil Farah.

There are two more Farahs in line to join the family firm.

Eddie Farah’s daughter, Rawan, is a student at Stetson University College of Law and Chuck Farah’s son, Ramzi, plans to enroll at his father’s and uncle’s alma mater in the fall.

“A law firm is a living organism. We have a long-term plan,” said Eddie Farah.

That doesn’t mean the founder is scheduling his retirement party.

“I still love it – and I’ve been doing it for 41 years,” he said.
