Development Notes: FedEx to Westlake; FlexCold to North Jacksonville

CubeSmart want to covert former furniture store to self-storage.

FedEx applied for a Certificate of Use at the Stag Westlake building in Westlake Industrial Park that it is leasing as a logistics and distribution center.

The 231,030-square-foot building is at 9779 Pritchard Road.

The city issued a building permit Dec. 14 for Emerald C’s Development Inc. to build-out the structure at a cost of more than $1 million.

FlexCold to North Jacksonville

The city issued a conditional capacity availability statement for FlexCold to build a $47.3 million, 150,221-square-foot center at southeast Faye and Blasius roads.

A site plan shows a proposed 149,635-square-foot building with a future 23,000-square-foot structure.

FlexCold applied for a $1.1 million tax incentive for the proposed processing and distribution facility near the Blount Island Marine Terminal. 

CubeSmart to Mandarin

CubeSmart wants to convert a former furniture store at 10830 San Jose Blvd. into a self-storage facility.

The city issued a concurrency reservation certificate for CubeSmart to convert the 18,052-square-foot building on 0.76 acres into self-storage.

CubeSmart L.P. bought the property, built in 1983, in 2011.
