Gateway Village at Town Center is sold out.
Chris Morgan, co-CEO and founder of Jacksonville-based developer Cantrell & Morgan Inc., said Dec. 2 that Jacksonville Gateway Village LLC closed a transaction with a group that owns hotels.
The LLC, which he leads, sold 2.01 acres to Town Center Hospitality LLC of Jacksonville for $2.6 million. Professional Bank of Coral Gables made a $1.69 million mortgage.
The deed and mortgage were made Nov. 30 and recorded Dec. 1 with the Duval County Clerk of Courts.
A Town Center Hospitality representative said Dec. 6 the group is deciding on its plans.
Gateway Village is an 18.5-acre project at southwest Gate Parkway and Deerwood Park Boulevard., south of Butler Boulevard and St. Johns Town Center. Cantrell & Morgan executives bought the land in July 2017 from members of the Skinner family for $6.64 million. Cantrell & Morgan developed the project.
Owners sold off developed and vacant parcels.
Gateway Village is a retail, commercial, hotel and apartment project anchored by Midtown Table, RaceTrac, Burrito Gallery and other retailers.
