Aldi announced July 7 it will open its new store in northern St. Johns County on July 15.
The grocery is at 145 Harper Lane off Race Track Road, south of the Celestina subdivision, about 5 miles east of Julington Creek Plantation.
Aldi will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8:30 a.m. followed by the store opening at 9 a.m.
The store will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
It’s the second Aldi in St. Johns County. It has another location in St. Augustine. There are more than a dozen Aldi stores in Northeast Florida.
“We have served this community for more than six years and look forward to continuing to offer St. Johns residents high-quality, fresh foods and low prices in every ALDI aisle, every day,” Matt Thon, Haines City regional vice president for Aldi, said in a news release.
Aldi says it operates more than 2,000 stores in 37 states and is on track to become the third-largest U.S. grocery retailer by store count by the end of 2022.
