The city is reviewing civil engineering plans for a proposed Walmart Supercenter on Oakleaf Plantation Parkway west of the First Coast Expressway in Southwest Jacksonville.
Walmart Stores East LP of Bentonville, Arkansas, is the developer. CPH Inc. is the civil engineer.
The project is at southwest Oakleaf Plantation Parkway and the Cecil Commerce Center Parkway/Cecil Connector road, north of the Clay County line.
Plans indicate the 205,505-square-foot store will include a Health Center.
Supercenters have groceries, general merchandise, liquor stores and a garden center, among other features and departments.
The civil plans show seven outparcels of 1.16 to 1.8 acres, with a 16-pump Walmart Murphy gas station on the largest parcel.
The property area is 63.5 acres. Walmart’s site is about 54 acres. A storm drainage report shows the total developed site area will be 33 acres.
Walmart submitted plans May 26 and updated documents June 9.
