Omni Jacksonville to be managed by Prism Hotels & Resorts

Dallas-based Prism has 13 job openings, including in Jacksonville, listed on its website.

Prism Hotels & Resorts, based in Dallas, is the new manager of the Omni Jacksonville Hotel and other Omni properties that were sold Feb. 25. 

Job listings on Prism’s website include:

• General manager, food and beverage manager, director of housekeeping and assistant front office manager at the Omni in Jacksonville.

• General manager, director of sales and marketing, director of revenue optimization and director of engineering at the Omni Westside in Houston.

• Director of housekeeping and director of sales and marketing at the Omni Southpark in Austin, Texas.

• General manager, director of sales and marketing and director of revenue optimization at the Omni Park West in Dallas.

“We currently manage more than 25 premier hotels for entrepreneurs and institutional and private owners, including a range of high-end urban, suburban and resort destinations,” says prismhotels.com.

“The list includes some of the best properties in the nation, including the 580-room Hyatt Regency Los Angeles International Airport, and the 428-room El Conquistador Tucson, a Hilton Resort.”

The portfolio includes the Sheraton Orlando Lake Buena Vista Resort, The Westin Stonebriar Hotel & Golf Club and Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center, along with a number of limited-service hotels.

On Feb. 25, Peter Strebel, president of Omni Hotels, issued a statement confirming the sale of five properties — the Omni Dallas Hotel at Park West, Omni Houston Hotel at Westside, Omni San Antonio Hotel at Southpark, the Omni Jacksonville Hotel and the Omni Southpark in Austin, Texas.

“The new owner will transition the hotels out of the Omni system later this year,” Strebel said.

LR Jax LLC bought the Omni Jacksonville Hotel Feb. 25. The deed, recorded Feb. 26, was signed by Michael G. Smith, executive vice president of Dallas-based Omni Jacksonville Corp.
