Jacksonville-based Stellers Gallery expects to open a third location this fall at 6934 St. Augustine Road in the San Jose area.

Stellers Wholesale and Design LLC, which has changed its name to Stellers Art and Design LLC, bought a 2,400-square-foot building Dec. 22 for $225,000.

The structure, at 6934 St. Augustine Road, was built in 1962.

The LLC bought the property from Mahshid Fatemi.

T. Graham Riley is the manager of Stellers Art and Design and is the owner of the new gallery. Riley is the son of Scott Riley, who owns Stellers Gallery in San Marco and Avondale with his wife, Missy Riley.

According to Missy Riley, the new business will be a place for the Stellers Galleries to showcase a deeper collection of their fine art.

She said the space will feature three showcase rooms, a design center for collaboration with commercial and residential designers and a comprehensive collection of artwork.

She said there was no investment estimate for renovations.

Stellers Art and Design will offer art, home accessories, and custom frame services.

Riley said Stellers also is launching a fine art printing division that will provide printing services for artists and designers.

Scott Riley has been an art dealer in Northeast Florida for more than 36 years.

Missy Riley said Stellers Gallery is one of the longest-operating, privately owned galleries in the area.

The gallery represents more than 50 artists.

Scott Riley opened Stellers Gallery in 1985 when he began to exclusively represent his brother, nationally recognized artist C. Ford Riley.

Stellers’ art can be found in private clubs, commercial businesses, area hospitals and private residences.

The other two galleries are at 1990 San Marco Blvd. in San Marco and at 3562 St. Johns Ave. in Avondale. A Ponte Vedra Beach gallery was sold 15 years ago.
